Tampereen Vasemmisto on mukana suuressa marjatempauksessa.
Suuri marjatempaus 2026 on kansanliike, jonka tavoitteena on kasvattaa tietoisuutta marjabisnekseen liittyvistä eettisistä ongelmista, sekä vaatia kauppoihin reilun kaupan marjoja.

Sunnuntaina 2.8. suuntaamme yhdessä marjastamaan Hervantaan.
Tapaamme klo 12.00 ratikkalinjan 3 päätepysäkillä, Hervantajärvellä, ja lähdemme sieltä yhdessä metsään.
Olemme viime vaaleissa jakaneet ämpäreitä, joten niitä varmaan löytyy omasta takaa, mutta mukana on muutama ämpäri. Ota mukaan myös itsellesi juotavaa. Me tarjoamme vegaaniset makkarat Makkarajärven nuotiopaikalla noin klo 13.30 aikaan. Lapset ovat tervetulleita. Marjastaa saa omaan tahtiin tai vain nauttia metsäretkestä. Tilaisuutta emännöi Minna Minkkinen.
Luonnonmarja-alalla on vuosien varrella osoitettu olevan merkittäviä ihmisoikeus- ja työoikeusongelmia. Työperäinen riisto on ollut muun muassa palkkavarkautta, kynnysrahoja, vapaudenriistoa, väkivaltaa ja erittäin heikkoja työolosuhteita ja olemattomia työn tekemisen ehtoja. Luonnonmarja-alan tilanteesta kertoo jotain myös se, että yleensä kehittyvissä maissa työtä tekevä Reilu Kauppa on nyt lähtenyt pilotoimaan Suomeen Reilun kaupan marjoja. Me Tampereen Vasemmistossa haluamme, että maan tavaksi muodostunut riisto marja-alalla loppuu ja osallistumme siksi tempaukseen.
Tempaus ei ole esteetön, sillä saavutettavia ja esteettömiä luontopolkuja joissa onnistuisi myös grillaus on vasta tulossa Tampereelle. (Kintulammilla esteetön nuotiopaikka, mutta se on heikosti saavutettavissa ilman omaa autoa)

Tampere Left is taking part in the Great Berry Campaign.
The Great Berry Campaign 2026 is a grassroots movement aimed at raising awareness of the ethical issues surrounding the berry industry and demanding that stores carry fair-trade berries.
Come join us in the berry picking
On Sunday, August 2, we’ll head out together to pick berries in Hervanta.
We’ll meet at 12:00 p.m. at the terminus of tram line 3, at Hervantajärvi, and set off together into the woods from there.
We handed out buckets during the last election, so you probably have one at home, but we’ll bring a few along. Be sure to bring something to drink. We’ll be serving vegan sausages at the Makkarajärvi campfire site around 1:30 p.m. Children are welcome. You can pick berries at your own pace or just enjoy the forest hike. The event will be hosted by Minna Minkkinen.
Over the years, the wild berry industry has been shown to have significant human rights and labor rights issues. Labor exploitation has included, among other things, wage theft, recruitment fees, deprivation of liberty, violence, extremely poor working conditions, and non-existent terms of employment. The situation in the wild berry sector is also illustrated by the fact that Fair Trade, which typically operates in developing countries, has now launched a pilot program for Fair Trade berries in Finland. We at the Tampere Left want to put an end to the exploitation that has become the norm in the berry sector, and that is why we are participating in this campaign.
The outing isn’t fully accessible, as accessible nature trails where barbecuing is also possible are still in the works in Tampere. (There’s an accessible campfire site at Kintulampi, but it’s difficult to reach without a car.)
